What can you do about keeping your staff from resigning and moving to another job or starting their own companies?
Ask them what they want.
If it’s even remotely doable, do it.
If it doesn’t seem doable, ask your staff how they envision their job being done the way they’d like to do it.
For example, if someone wants to switch to flex-time in a manufacturing business, ask how they see it working. How can you make sure all the gifts are covered if everyone can work when they want?
People aren’t just interested in raises. Ask them what they really want and you might find that the simplest solutions are the best for their needs.
